MSP premieres tonight

Matchstick Productions premieres The Way Out tonight — MSP's 34th annual ski film, and the preview clips out of Terrace, BC have Bobby Brown, Finn Bilous, Dennis Ranalter, and Josh Rollins linking up with Mike Wiegele Heli for a segment that MSP is calling 'a true reminder of why we love skiing.' That's a bold claim from a crew that's been making the case for 34 years, and if the Terrace footage is any indication, they can back it up. Elsewhere, Levi ski resort in Finnish Lapland is prepping slopes for an October 2 opening day using snow stockpiled over the summer — because in 2026, you don't wait for winter, you keep winter in a pile. The UCI Downhill World Cup rolls into Whistler this weekend with snow dusting the upper mountain, the Andes are still holding absurd bases, and TGR keeps pulling clips from the vault that make you want to throw your laptop out the window and go find a mountain.
