Portillo is stacked at 305cm and still running its extended season into October. La Parva is holding 259cm. Las Leñas across the border just pushed to 241cm. The Andes are not slowing down. Meanwhile, TGR officially dropped the trailer for their 31st annual film, "Actually, It Is Rocket Science," spanning Bute Inlet, Haines, Japan, Finland, Andorra, Montana, Jay Peak, and Jackson Hole — and Oskar Roner is out here throwing double backflips off natural hits like it's a reasonable thing to do. U.S. Ski & Snowboard just named its first-ever Olympic freeride team nominations for 2030, the Old Farmer's Almanac is calling for a snowy East Coast winter, and the New Zealand Freeride Celebrations are returning to Queenstown. TGR just dropped the official trailer for "Actually, It Is Rocket Science" — their 31st annual ski film — and it looks like the crew went everywhere that matters: Bute Inlet, Haines, Japan, Finland, Andorra, Montana, Jay Peak, and Jackson Hole. The thesis is that every descent is an experiment and every mountain is a laboratory, which is the kind of thing that sounds corny until you watch someone huck off a spine in British Columbia and realize the math checks out. TGR's annual film is the unofficial starting gun of ski season, and this one feels like it's bringing the full weight of three decades of institutional knowledge to the table.
