The same storm that buried Chile's ski resorts under nearly fifteen feet of snow in a single week has now triggered catastrophic flooding and mudslides across central Chile, prompting a presidential state of emergency. It's the duality of mountain weather distilled into one brutal headline: Valle Nevado sitting on a dream base while communities downhill are getting wrecked.
