Argentina just entered the chat. Las Leñas picked up 31 centimeters overnight, part of a 107cm week that's starting to stack a proper base across the Argentine Andes. Chile's storm cycle is taking a breath but not going quiet — another 18cm is in the forecast for Valle Nevado through the weekend, building on last week's historic dump. Down in New Zealand, Ohau Snowfields is doing that early-season dance where wind and sun trade punches every six hours and you just have to show up and take what you get. Australia's still waiting. New Zealand thin

6cm in the last 24 hours and just 13cm for the week with essentially no base to speak of — cold temps (-5°C to -1°C) are helping but only 1cm is forecast over the next three days.

Australia thin

Zero new snow in the last 24 hours, just 3cm for the week, no base depth, and nothing in the forecast — Perisher, Thredbo, and Falls Creek are waiting for the season to actually arrive.

Oregon / Summer closed

No snow on the ground at Timberline's Palmer Snowfield, temps ranging from 11°C to 16°C — summer skiing appears to be done for now.

Alps — Summer thin

No new snow and no base depth across Zermatt, Hintertux, and Tignes — temps hovering 0°C to 6°C with 24 km/h winds; glacier-only operations at best.

The best skiers in July are the ones who aren't counting the days — they're making them count somewhere else.
