Thursday morning and Mammoth Mountain just caught nearly four feet of spring snow, which is the kind of sentence that makes everyone who waxed their skis for storage last week feel personally attacked. The Sierra is running its own calendar now — Memorial Day is the target and nobody's blinking. Up in Wyoming, Jackson picked up 16 centimeters in the last 24 hours with another 8 in the three-day forecast, turning the Tetons into a legitimate late-April powder destination for the third time this week. Meanwhile, Vermont is out here playing the long game: Burke Mountain just got state approval to start snow farming, which is either visionary infrastructure or proof that New Englanders will fight the seasons with their bare hands. Killington's Superstar is still grinding. Jay Peak is still serving corn. Scandinavia has snow in the forecast. Northern Rockies / Interior BC mixed

Jackson Hole grabbed 16cm in the last 24 hours with 8cm more in the three-day forecast and temps at -8°C to 0°C — legitimate late-April skiing if you're in the Tetons; BC is quiet with no new snow at Revelstoke. →

Northeast spring

7cm fell this past week with temps ranging from -4°C to 8°C — Killington's Superstar is grinding into May and Jay Peak is delivering excellent spring corn; don't count the East out yet. →

Europe spring

No new snow across the Alps or Scandinavia this week, but glacier resorts like Zermatt and high-elevation terrain are holding with temps at -4°C to 5°C; Scandinavia has 7cm in the three-day forecast and stays cold at -6°C to -1°C. →

Japan closed

Zero snow on the ground at Niseko, Hakuba, and Myoko with temps at 3°C to 8°C and nothing in the forecast — the Japanese season is wrapped. →
